What if AAO malus applied to BO ticks instead of kills? Encourage people to fight instead of afk, and motivates people to either play AAO faction or at very least not lounge around on BOs.

From my point of view the AAO effecting value of a kill seems natural as this game should reflect effort with said reward and it does not take effort to kill those 2gobo’s with 2Warbands

Why do you think small guilds with focus on small scale pvp should be kicked in the face for the majority of brainless zergers.

Without these groups, no locks would come about.

The real problem is the missing target in RvR .... :!: :!: :!: :!:

We as a guild hope that this patch will be reversed immediately.

Sorry for butcering your post, but wouldn't this mean they achieve exactly what they want? Evening out the numbers.
no worries, i mean if it does then really good job but i just dont see it, if the zerg side gets more renown from sitting on bo's then killing players then you know what they will do, i guess you will still see premades looking for fights but how long will they continue when they get minimal renown, there is more chance of them doing sc's or login off then switching sides.

We have seen over the years lots of experiments and changes to try and make ppl log to the underpopulated side and it never works, ppl play what they like.

My question is I don’t see the incentive to switch sides, lose contribution, and trigger the x-realm lockout if the pop is such that you are not going to get AAO from kills on the underpopulated side anyways?
    […]
You might have it upside down^^
As long as you have AAO nothing will be different than it was before (higher reward), but if you fight against enemies that have AAO your rewards will be reduced.

One tweak to the system could be moving from zone AAO to local area numbers, this would at least make the Zerg want to break up into smaller blobs instead of current where there is no difference in being mega Zerg or separate (1-2 WB groups)
