There a a lot of folks in this game who think if you haven't played a class for 1000 hours with BiS gear you can't perform a reasonable analysis of its strengths and weaknesses. I would counter that the fact they have played it to the point they have optimized gear makes them forget all the weaknesses that said gear has covered up.

Bottom line is your analysis is pretty much spot on. The SW is now and always has been a "tweener" in that it does a lot of things okay but nothing well. There is no role of the SW where you cannot find a specialist class that does those things better and with more impact. I like to look at the SW as a training class in that if you learn to play it well (for instance in Scout) then you can take those skills and translate them to a real RDPS class such as a BW and really kick butt.
Thank you for your response Aethilmar.

I did specifically start my post off by saying I enjoyed playing the class, and it does have some awesome moments.

Even though I rolled a slayer, and it's great, I couldnt help but come back to SW and keep trying.

Recelty I've seen a couple of Scout shadow warrior do pretty well in scenarios, Orcorci come to mind.

In casual scenario (and maybe premade but that's where assault shine too) you can have fun and make it work, I think.
I pretty much struggle in soloQ scenarios with assault, Scout can be a better "stand alone" build for that...

Edit. I'm not talking about ranked.

Good morning all. I have a sw rr 75 and it is useless. so I confirm that the specialization scout the damage level and very low while being offensive

Hello! I have been playing only SW for all of my four years on RoR. I enjoy it but I also hope that some balance changes will happen for Scout and hoppfully for Skirmish as well.

I remember when scout spec here had a change to do corporeal damage with a tactic and a corp res debuff.
That version was really good and fun to play.

no never.
that pre-required resist debuff was bad.
so many critical opportunities were missed while preparing debuff.

scout is not standing shooter like engie.
nor skirmisher moving shot.
It's somewhat between.
plz don't ask elf engie. 1 is enough.

try kill stealing sniper, i think that's what scout meant for.
only need 1 fester + 1 felltheweak and sharp eye to pick 30% hp.
once you taste sneaky leeching from far as shadowy elf, there's no going back.
