Formula to calculate str vs ws dps gain

So some formula that is seemingly correct: take your base damage and your weaponskill damage minus the % of armor the target has for example impale might do 460 damage and penetrate an additional 990 armor and lets say i have 80% armor pen if the target is a potted clothie, it could be 2000 armor so, .80 x 2000 = 1600 so 1600 armor is penetrated, plus an additional 990 if your behind the target. what this tells me is if my ability has high base damage vs lower or higher armor targets i am able to find a difference.
you just need to figure out how much armor gives how much % reduction with/vs how much it would be with str and ws values

First you debuff armor and then you apply armor pen, so in your example would be (2000-990)*0.80
