Over?
May be.

The Reverend Mother returned her attention to Paul. "You did that on
remarkably few clues," she said. "Politics indeed. The original Bene Gesserit
school was directed by those who saw the need of a thread of continuity in human
affairs. They saw there could be no such continuity without separating human
stock from animal stock
— for breeding purposes."

Jessica shook tears from the corners of her eyes. It was an angry gesture.
"You make me feel like a little girl again — reciting my first lesson." She
forced the words out: " 'Humans must never submit to animals. ' " A dry sob shook
her. In a low voice, she said: "I've been so lonely."

The moment you truly understand what I put in underlined bold is also the moment you may have a glimpse about what Dune truly is about. You may not like it although, far from.

I dont really see a point in being cryptic about it. Its obvious eugenics is a major part of that authors vision for that future.

I have read this same book twice in the past, and I wouldn't mind going through it again :P

I can recommend a seminal work that inspired some of Warhammer's Chaos faction, The Saga of Elric by Michael Moorcock. I almost finished it, and it is as pulpy as you can imagine but with a pleasant british weirdness factor to it.

I have also binged Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book, The Ocean at the End of the Lane, London Below. I can heartily recommend those as well, especially The Graveyard Book and Ocean, they are my favorites.

For non-speculative fiction, I can recommend Hassan Blassim's beautiful works The Iraqi Christ, and The Madman of Freedom Square. I need to get my copy of his latest book but I am sure it as good as the rest ;)

The Elric Saga was a good series. If you can find it I would also recommend a series by John Jakes featuring Brak the Barbarian.

The Graveyard Book was brilliant.

Brak the Barbarian, I will give it a look. I have to be honest and say that I have a hard time reading action adventure stories.

Have you read Ocean? It is really really good! :)
