I consider melee trains to be the alpha and the omega in 6mans and many times in warbands. My primary warband group is always a double guarded high RR slayer grp. Its simply unkillable and hits like a truck.
Moreover in the official server when we as an alliance reached sovereign level gear bombing was old news. ST groups were much more efficient since the defensive stats rose much higher than the offensive ones. When that happens ST and melee dps are kings. Its the reason why you dont see many bombing casters in 6v6 :P.
lol nope
For Order warband you don't want to drop below 7 BWs and for Destro you don't want to drop below 5-6 Sorcs (maras don't bring as high dps as Sorc, but they bring very excellent utility toolkit). Your warband group of slayers explodes whenever meeting a Sorc bomb - it's very much killable and barely gets to hit before being debuffed, snares, and just nuked.
Live server gear imbalance won't hopefully be seen here, since afaik devs have several times stated they do not wish to return to insane gear powercreep state of game. In 6v6 you need both AA dmg + melee dmg, which ends up giving more dmg output than a caster can when facing enemies that have enough brains to cleanse + break LoS - not to mention several classes that can shut down a caster in 6v6 with gap closers (WL SW SM) effectively preventing most of ranged kiting + pewpewing from distance.

I do not just load 8 slayers in a warband. I was absolutely clear on the composition of my warbands. I keep balance and diversity. Still, I wanna see the sorc WB that will make Bigkringer or Feyn explode :P really now :P

- Removed the inner sanctum obstacles for 4 out of the 6 fortresses. Butchers Pass and Stonewatch remains closed.
And so begins the age of magus/engie backdoor rifting, enjoy.
I am assuming that someone can’t be pulled through but you can still mess with people inside with pulls as it disrupts positioning and may interrupt like landlines. Adds some drama on both sides.

After much testing I have also found that You got nuffin' does not scale with the willpower buff from a Zealot or even from the willpower buff from Da Biggest! (stat steal) on top of it not being able to crit.
