Return of Reckoning

I don't understand the railing against a BG in wb play:
- as the only BG in the wb on a keep lord, me dropping CD and FH on him sped up his death a noticeable amount.
- CD and FH when defending the ramp to 3rd floor were also quite helpful as it maximized rdps burst and AoE damage

And that's completely discounting the effects of Horific Wound on the enemy frontline or soul killer if I get to the backline (or end up fighting/chasing an AM).

All while guarding a mdps.

If you are specced into the Anguish tree, will you count as DPS or tank for scenarios?

Strength in your offensive set.
Armour/Wounds in your defensive set.
