Return of Reckoning

I mostly played my BG as a more offensive 2H tank.
But when speccing something like this as a defensive SnB BG what is the value for the grp beside some dark protector single target buff and some single target debuffs and that small amount of AP reg beside being an hard to kill guard bot?

I mean if i look over to Chosen or BO with most of their utilities being grp buffs is there something i don't see?

You can do the same thing that any tank can do: Guard, Challenge, Hold the Line, Moral game, Punt, CC, Taunt etc.

An organized warband can take 1 two-handed BG for the Debuffs.

The rest are Chosen and Black Orks, maybe you can get a place if they don't have enough of those, a guard is better than no guard after all.

yeah sure you can the basic stuff.
But as you said, why would a WB take a SnB BG if they can have Chosen or BOs?
(beside the fact that they might not have enough, but in that case you are mostly only a guard bot with basic tank stuff and more or less no grp value)

you should be playing BG as 2h even in a warband or ORVR.

Body guard key player.
Dark protector : Elite Training, FoF, shield, toughness.
to kite : aoe snare, HtL, 5sec KD, long punt.
snb can have it all. you can make your defensive target invincible.
does bomb wb need this? idk.

don't limit yourself as guard bot. use your potential.

none of that stuff is worth more than crimson death (with potential 120 wound debuff).

but then it is the way i thought, you have value for 1 player, basic tank stuff for grp but nothing special for the grp.

So i will mostly stick to current 2h game play.

you can swap guard and DP
expanding potential from 1 to grp.
or stick to crimson bot.
true it's easier and better at blob.

Yeah but that are basics you do as 2h too, like guard switch,DP punt, kd, challenge

Don’t get me wrong, I like my BG, I just want to find the value as snb for my grp.
That’s why I ask if I maybe forgot something or do not get real value.

do you run to defensive targets to switch guard and DP instead of applying crimson or assisting dps?
I don't believe until i see it
most times assisted dps is defensive target but what if adds inc.

I think that's personal preference.
grp aoe buff/debuff or ST defensive buff.
BO or Chosen have aoe things but don't have snb BG's far better personal bodyguard skills.
vice versa.
It's different skill set.

value to whom?
I don't play bomb as tank so aoe tank is little value to me.
pick class(build) first then look for where it can be shine.
don't tailor yourself to fit other's demand.
even if you lose wb/grp spot.

well, that's my style and values.
