Altdorf at champion stage.

20 - Feb - 2020

While wining Stage 3.

The last (and only one alive) was an ironbreaker (sword and board spec) champion. He stayed alive while healers and him were abusing the fact that they could heal him behind the spawning portal so we could not kill the last champion although he was the last alive. (He basically had all his healers free to heal a champion tank. I am even suspecting some guard on him as well behind the portal but i cant prove that) That ended up all losing Champion Status (ours were all alive) after a quite big (10-20 minutes didn't actually take a timer) amount of time. This ended up us losing the fight.

Sometimes a few people tried to get out and fight but the healers focusing on the tank were free to heal from inside.

Yeah, I've noticed that the barriers don't block aoe heals or non-targeted aoe damage. Not sure what the fix for aoe heals is since they don't check LoS (didn't do that on live either), maybe prevent ability use while inside the barrier? Would also prevent sorcs/bws from building resource before going out and from spamming non-targeted aoe out (for sorc IW/IS work just fine through the barrier).

It would prevent buffing your team as well and getting moral before going out. You are already at a disadvantage, because you died and a team, where ppl die in big numbers, usually loses.

Despawning champs should result in king being attackable, then they have to go out.
Wondering why you lost, when you have farmed them before.

Btw, aoe heals are slower and weaker than single target heals. Having only the tank alive already shows, that their team is weaker.
I missed it but how did you lose it?

They probably swapped 5 healers into the party with the remaining Champion. 5 healers pumping all the aoe healing they can into one defensive specced tank is incredibly hard to overcome. Especially if they have 3 other tanks on the inside using HTL out to further increase the Champion's defenses.

Simply Barrier should be fixed as it allows to Abilities get through, and it works both sides, as Attackers u can pull out ppl inside barrier aswell as u can pull players outside inside barrier. Same goes with damaging AoE abilities or Morales.

Just fix barrier to not allow this behaviour (on both sides ofc).

This sounds annoying sure. But on the other hand, you guys clearly won the fight with all champs alive if you were spawncamping them with only 1 tank remaining on their side. So when all tanks were removed after the 15 mins, you had another 'even' fight that was in your favour as they were already spawncamped.

yeah it was very irritating to have this happen. Of course mistakes were made on our wbs behalf that contributed to our ultimate loss, a bad call was made as we pulled back to the lords and it cost us badly. however being denied all of our champs at the end denied us an earned advantage due to this situation with the barrier and surely it cant be working as intended.

the topic is not about what caused the eventual loss, its about the unkillable road block that is a defensive tank champ with healers dedicated to him who cannot be eliminated or prevented from healing.

OR this is intended behaviour to deny Spawncamp, after killing 3 champs, u could simple back out and with advantage of 3 champs wipe ur enemy again if they dare to move out, which they need to at some point, because objective is to defeat enemy LORD.

You can pull them out, you can heal debuff the champ, you can reduce its defenses or knockdown to avoid them entirely, you can use morale damage, you can buff your own damage, you can buff your AP regen to deal even more damage, you can interrupt them and him, etc...

In case the answers sound stupid and/or useless, these were the answers given to me in other thread by the forum and to "man it up" the situation of an obvious bug abuse, so my suggestion is that you simply don't ask here, but instead silently fill a bugtracker report. It will be easier and way more productive.
