laptop or desktop? If it is laptop consider that this game due to the heavy cpu demand, cannot run properly with energy management presets, therefore, connect the power cord while playing. Seems an obvious suggestion, but believe me, it is not.

As commented over and over, the switch to scheduled cities didn't solve the problem. The situation is still the same: 50/50 share of players happy/unhappy. I play GMT+1 11PM/2AM and I catched a single city siege since the patch. Hands down, it doesn't work as it was expected

Just done. In order to isolate the problem I just erased -everything- and started a new fresh client installation and downloaded clean addons from idrinth site. So it's everything new: this is why it makes me think I am imputing some setting that makes enemy acting weird
