Keep in mind, your buddy won’t be DPS Doking until RR60. I tried at low level and it’s brutal in SC. The AP drain is fun but you will become “A” number 1 target even over pure healers. Roam groups are the best and teaming up with a Marauder, AP drain Zealot makes for a even deadlier team.

When in doubt, run two gear sets. I’ll have a healing and melee healing set with Talismans to boot. Once I hit the RR60+ mark. Until then, I’ll be healing.

To me gaining renown is more important than adventuring levels. I have and will continue to take XP reduction pots to keep capping out my RR level before hitting 40. DPS DOK and 2H BG is one of the most lethal melee duos you can run (arguably the top). It's a very self-sufficient class, capable of doing damage and healing simultaneously.
