Are epic quests only around lvl 40?

I have played for a while now, gotten to level 20, and I gotta say... The quests seems worthless to me. Only in terms of quest rewards though. I gain mostly just xp and gold, and I can make far better than that by doing rvr and Sewers in Altdorf. I get very very few items, and they are never anythin...

Medallions are from orvr and emblems comes from scenarios. I don't quite know what orvr means, but scenarios are things like Black Fire Basin, where I join a scenario queue to teleport to a quick pvp fight, right? I have seen that you can buy something that lowers your experience by (I think) 75%. I am assuming that is so you don't level too fast during pvp, but is there any point to that, other than 'so you don't overlevel compared to the questing you're doing'? 'Cause I feel like questing really isn't worth...

Aah, that sounds like a problem. Are they just better flat out in those scenarios, or does slayer become better at later levels maybe?

So I was a slayer, teamed up with a swordmaster for a decent dps/tank combo. We ran into a marauder & whatever the tank is of the chaos side. And they stomped us. We both attacked the marauder, he just would not get hurt. His hit points didn't lower at all, and they both killed us rather easily....

Trade it in for gear immediately. You can only trade up currency to Officer's Meds/emblems. After that you can only trade down -Dominator/Conqueror rank meds and up, and usually you don't want to do that. Gear now will help you now and to get to those higher rank meds sooner. It is okay to trade up...

Another beginner question, but what should I do with the recruit/scout/soldier emblems and coins that I seem to pick up now and then? Trade it in for the gear immediately, or save for something else?
