Assuming they're better geared than Dominator, yeah, probably. You can't bring 3 Tanks to a Ranked match so that's a moot point.

My general rule of thumb is: If you’re solo roam or small group, don’t take pounce. It’s 30 AP that does no damage, can’t dismount anything, all just so that your target hits you first.
