Knowing that this will get closed soon; providing image of latest Ice Spike dmg statistics I have since last one is from December:

Average hit being 178 assuming it has passed initial landing check and does pass DoT hit check.
Even if it crits, which Sorc dmg often does, it still hits on average about 280. Noncrits average being way way lower because how much it can tickle highly defensive targets with high resistances.

Would undefendable IS be possibly potent? Yeah, thats why it would be on a 11 point tactic. Would those mighty DoT ticks instantly wipe huge masses of people? Probably not, but instead of being random fluff dmg the infamous Sorc IceSpike spam could be considered something that is actually lethal.
And if totally undefendable is too much, then hopefully consider "cannot be disrupted" meaning tanks still get to block and ignore it business as usual.

Or maybe CG tactic ends up affecting WoP/VoT/CW or any combination of those, would still help the mid tree in this era of DoTDisruptDoTDisrupt combat. Or maybe it becomes something like Wildfire for mid tree - would still be a welcome change I guess - considering the tactic seems only to find use in late night NA pugland adventures, any change to the tactic would be welcome considering its current "gathering dust" status. :)
