Re: KoTB
The Empire is polytheistic not unlike the Romans, they may venerate one deity over the other but very almost always acknowledge the power of the other gods. (Some of the older gods don't recognize new comer Sigmar, such as Ulfric) the Knight's open worship of the Tilean deity is met with contention as Myrmidia is not a patron of the Empire, and worship of her is not respected. (Sigmar, Ulfric and Morr are more respectable for knights to worship)ThePollie wrote:They do, actually. They just also have another deity.tarenor117 wrote:You know KoTB don't actually worship Sigmar....
That being said the Knights of the Blazing Sun have proven them selves as a knightly order and keep their worship on the downlow, and thus don't attract much attention from 'the imperial cult' of fanatics or less scrupulous Witch Hunters. None of the Knightly orders would be all that interested in joining the Sigmar cult, though the Knights Panther might be honorary members. Why? Well the cult of Sigmar is for the downtrodden, ravaged, poor, and mad. No self respecting noble is going lower himself to that class, especially one that can turn on you extremely quickly if the mob sees fit.
Wizards also avoid the cult of Sigmar all together, most peasants fear wizards to such a point that if something woeful happens the most bewildered jumps in logic will be made so that the wizard is somehow the cause. Witch Hunters always suspect wizards of corruption and most of these freelancers will take action rather then preform due diligence. It's for this reason that wizards often travel with powerful adventurers or full-fledged armies, to avoid being burnt at the stake...or drowned as the case would be for Bright Wizards.

"The Order of the Blazing Sun is a Templar Order dedicated to the worship and martial practice of the Goddess of Warfare and Battles, Myrmidia. This particular Order is amongst one of the most well-known within the Empire, as their Order does not worship a native god of the Empire but a foreign one hailing from the lands of Tilea,"
"The Goddess instructs us to seek out the enemy’s weaknesses and to attack them with relentless force. Do this in all things – in love, in politics, in war. To accomplish any task – to defeat any foe, all that is needed is a keen eye, a sharp mind and the favour of the Goddess."
