Not sure how much effort it requires or extra zones are available (maybe an area that they never put in on live) to use but you could take a page from DAOC and just make an rvr area with zero objectives for the premades to go fight each other if they truly say they want just a death match style fight. No SCs no rewards no scores just a place for premades to go bash each others skulls in.

No, that's not what premades want :).
Yea i figured as much  , with how much zerging in the lakes goes on, i would wager there are only a hand full of premades and putting any more effort then slapping a zone with a rvr lake and no npcs would probably be a waste of time a resources.

All though this server has a healthy population to support rvr and pve, i don't think it has a healthy premade population to have SCs and other things/rewards tied to a premade only system. No matter what angle or carrot is put on forcing people to premade, it won't change much if anything at all and the same premades will fight each other over and over. If one premade dominates consistently it most likely will just become a dead system that no one uses. The people that pug will still pug SCs the people that zerg rvr will still zerg and the pve crowd will still do that. You won't magically see people creating groups to do premade ladders or premade only SCs when that is not how they predominately play.
Then why not try to lure some of those premades back? Why are we so happy and content to see one part of the community all but gone from the game? Lel.

And on the contrary, no one was doing Gunbad until it was given sufficient incentives; the same would also prove to be true for scenarios, or RvR, or PQs, or Roleplaying. People will do whatever is attractive to do.

I played daoc, i did lots of 8v8 in Agramon and it could
Be a good idea but i think you need something more to involve ror players into this.
I don't see why it has to be different here if people truly want 6v6 fights. You didn't get any gear or medals or territories to take over or score cards in Agramon, it was just the place players went that wanted fairly even fights. The zergs were in other areas taking keeps so you could always count on the fights to be mostly even in agramon cause there was no carrot for people to be chasing.
Most daoc Players used to do pvp for the joy of competition.
Most ror players do pvp for grinding gear.
There is a big difference between.
That’s why I say we need something to involve ror players.

You can open a thread and ask us about 6v6 suggestions.

Also you can do the same here in a locked zone.
As you can see the 6v6 scene in ror is dying, ppl rather being afk during a fort and collecting theirs 4 inv medals and when they are done they start it again with another char. I joined ror ( never played live ) for the pvp in all aspects and iv found 6v6/small scale more interesting and satisfying, where you can use your 100% of your class.
I rly hope devs give a try to bring back 6v6 scenes.
There lots of good ideas to use.
@ekundu i reedited my post.

Players are not going to do something for a reward if it means they are being farmed like cattle over and over again. Of course players want rewards. If they are doing pve content they want something for the time they put in. Same with Rvr you are working towards a goal of taking keeps and forts so you want some sort of reward for the time. SCs are objective based and require team work again you get something all though a bit slow if you are always losing.

Premades on the other hand are a way for players to flex the epeen of who is better then who and nothing else. You already get rewards for forming groups like you should in pve, rvr, and scs. You should not be getting rewarded with better stuff/cosmetics or whatever comes to mind just because you came up with a better team to beat some other team comp.

That is why you add fixed loser rewards: say winner gets 3 x Currency, the loser would get 1 X Currency. This would encourage 'losers' to keep queuing because, despite getting their asses handed to them 'like cattle over and over again', they would: a) be gaining valuable experience (something the game sorely needs when one takes a look at calibre of PvP atm), and b) be gaining the currency they need in order to acquire their rewards for sticking it out.

Do people give up after getting wiped by bosses in Gunbad, BB/BWE, or Bastion Stair? No, because they know that, should they be persistent, they'll eventually nail the tactics, kill the bosses, and get their gear.

It's something that has worked in other MMOs (WoW has 10 x Arena quests for you to complete - even if you lose), so it isn't something alien.

A 6v6 mode team fight with no objectives and just a fight to the death would be cool.
People don't really like to do objectives in SC and tunnel kills anyways, and just makes it a rage fest.

Crap like Thunder Valley and Stonetrail is the most obnoxious in design maps ever. Legit worse just as bad as the old Skyhammer and Spiritwatch maps from GW2, and those maps really pissed people off.

Well said. For too long have these maps been frequenting the rotation, which no doubt contributes to the sentiment people have. Scenarios such as Gates of Ekrund, Nordenwatch and Blackfire Basin should be in the rotation permanently, imo.
