Totally agree although I'm fortunate enough to retain ~120 fps in forts I still do not like them as it seems there is very little strategy involved. All I've seen is coordinating M4 realm wide still ends up in attackers wiping at the door while opponents just walk in on our defense, often without even prepping up any morales. I just do not understand that game mode and why Destro seems incapable of pushing a full fort let alone defend one.

Cities are at least a little more balanced and provide a lot of opportunities for review & improvement even when we are soundly defeated.

I agree that 24v24 can feel empty. Maybe we could try 36v36 to make cities a little more massive?

In the grand scheme of things, the 24 vs 24 wb makes sense. It's meant to simulate smaller-scale fighting in the streets of the main cities, then the total aggregates the outcome of the fight. So with 18 instances it's really meant to simulate a 400 vs 400 fight. I like that WB scale makes it a bit different than the zerg fest, or even the large-scale fort-type fight. So you get 3 different battle types across RVR.

What could make cities more interesting and less of a PUG stomp could be if there was actual strategic deployment by the defending side. Basically give the defending side the option to pick the match-ups as if a general were deploying their forces across the city. There would need to be some kind of voting mechanism across WB leaders to approve the match-ups or something like that - so you didn't get premades purposefully selecting pugs or something. However, I think it adds a nice element of strategy to allow the defending side to try and get the best possible outcome.

I dont see how 24v24 is any less aoe spam than 36v36 or 48v48. In my experience its about the same

If you are afraid of lag, perhaps some certain changes could be made.
The problem with forts in my opinion is that in the final stage, everything and everyone is pilled into the lord room, which results in 3fps.
But let's say we have a final stage in a city with three lord (for example the king and the two friendly lord/heroes) in three different parts of the city, with the goal that the attackers perhaps need to kill 2/3 of the lords within a small time frame (to avoid nascar). Maybe that could introduce some strategy and reduce some lag?

I would be happy if you could approach the final content with groups of 6.
Let's face it, our game is already stagnating again in terms of active player numbers. No guild is able to create a warband anymore. Everyone needs them now "Alliances". But does that stand for quality? At the end of the day, these are just better randoms.

No problem with 24 Vs. 24, but then please use a registration 4 x 6 group. Currently, you are too often thrown together with people who see the final content as a place where you can quickly equip Twinks.
