Solo Ranked Scenarios Bonus Period

One of the problems with ranked is all the toxicity that goes unpunished. We can talk about the carrots, the balance of mirrored compositions and classes all day, but presently we're allowing a very vocal minority to ruin the game mode for everyone. Until players start getting banned from chat, from queueing, and even the game for the vitriol they are spewing, the game mode will not thrive.

We need casual players to bolster the numbers, and we need casual players to expose the good players. Hopefully, the rework this Wednesday will see tweaks to the MMR system, and with this change, I hope there will be some separation so we are not all stuck in the 1500s.

Ultimately, I would love to see Solo Ranked become a competitive game mode with its own metagame. We've seen shield WP/DoK thrive in the current iteration but classes like Engineer are seldom seen despite the fact we know Engineers can carry in ranked.

Additionally, to encourage queueing on both sides, and a higher player base for ranked, I would like to bring back VICTORY POINTS! Casual players desiring to contribute to the RvR campaign via instanced PvP will have to do so via ranked and/or scenarios. Let the realms see the win rate. Make it a point of competition and give realm wide bonuses. This would make it so that competitive teams find each other more frequently and eventually increase the quality and diversity of PvP/RvR for NA players. No more Doorhammer!

Toxicity? No, the problem is when someone has no idea what to do in ranked. Often ppl without armor potion or healer heading to cap side flag on reikland hills sc. It's just free win or lost. Wish to have some blacklist for ranked ppl that i can't have que with them, atleast 1 person on blacklist that you can switch.

and seriously we need huge rSH nerf it's overperforming every class by 150% on ranked sc.

So far 5 ranked played after patch.
1. Sorc without armor pot 20k dmg free win for order, done after 1min
2. 2tanks prob first time in ranked free win for order, done after 3min(first time lost vs Rolgrom in ranked)
3. same tanks free win for order done in 30sec:D
4. destro win first kill after 3-4min fight.
5. sorc that dont have clue how to kite:D just standing inside and waiting for dead. maybe if he/she stay at spawn we can draw it:D

To equalize things, we should prevent people from using potions and liniments in Solo Ranked. Players who can afford to stockpile 5% crit liniments, absorb pots, 825 armor pots, and 2.8k heal pots have an abundance of gold and time that results in a distinct advantage in Solo Ranked.

By removing another entry barrier to Solo Ranked we can increase the player pool. It doesn't matter if they play RoR casually or 24/7 because they have a right to access the game mode if they meet the gear requirements. We need low-skilled players to bolsters the numbers to randomize the matches.

And then you have ranked sc, where the rSH is trained hard by enemy team, runs out of guard range and gets killed by enemy rdps, preferably engi with m3 and all wait at spawn until sc has ended.

We are far from "oh, they have class X, let's wait in spawn, we have no chance".
It only becomes a pain, when the MM puts a better class setup and people who know what they do together in one team, while the other team gets the short end of the stick.
Dying is no option.

Higher renown wouldn't change much, you often get like 18k for a win without any additional bonus.
Renown rank is mostly meaningless in this game now because most make 80 so let's assume it's just how you spend the points. They changed the game from a renown rank grind to a gear grind imo. It used to be a long grind to get top ability renown level, now it's pretty easy to get 80. Let's assume most people will hit 80 easily. I guess it's easier to balance the game when it's mostly gears and not renown abilities differences involved. I personally would rather have rr take 2 years to get with the curve pretty linear curve, not giving easy renown to rr75 and making to 80 hard, but make it hard to even get 50. They clearly want to benefit casuals to get them to 95% the power levels of hardcore players. It's a design tradeoff.

Which is exactly what Solo Ranked is supposed to be.
Lowering the bar makes more problems. Those poor players who can't be bothered to play at a high level are going to get farmed regardless of their missing talismans or potions. It's just an excuse to queue into an accidental carry-win and get pity tokens to buy the gear with lowest possible effort while they cry about the grind because they can't be bothered to attempt winning legitimately. If you want to win a match, put in the effort.
