Just an idea for everyone to input or beat up, how's about adding pve champs to zones when one side has aao.
Could be interesting as with the one sided pushes daily to the cities. Add some defenders around flags or make them into roaming mobs.
Lets get some input.

Re: Instead of aao...
Considering the prevailing tactic is to zerg stuff doubt this will do anything to help balance that issue.
Re: Instead of aao...
There's really no need for that. AAO is already the tool that directly profits the less populated faction at that given time, and win or lose, they'll get their bags and their increased renown from AAO.

Re: Instead of aao...
Except that its really doesn't help when you get rolled. Boosted champ mobs could help the under populated side along with the current system.
You could have 10 rr80+ and they still get rolled by 24 rr50.
But this is to open discussion on ideas as the aao system is lacking.

Re: Instead of aao...
Yup, getting 400% AAO doesn't help because 400% of 0 RP is 0 RP. EVen at 80-100, zones are basically steamrolled.
I would prefer some minor bolster related to AAO. Not saying that the underdog realm should get a 50% damage boost or anything like that, but some lesser scaling based on population would help. The problems is that it would be incredibly hard to get right, and that it would make 1v1 of any kind (including underdog WE/WH) insanely unbalanced.
So...yeah I got nuthin'. But then, I have yet to see a game with RVR that achieves population balance consistently or that compensates for imbalance well. And that's across ESO, DAOC, WoW...there is no successful method to steal or mirror. The best approach is to make both realms appealing, but even then population will vary.

Re: Instead of aao...
No please. We are in a PVP arean. NOT Pve area when doing rvr. There is no absolute solution or ''balance'' to AAO since we got a lockout now so ppl can't easily balance out the numbersShogun4138 wrote: ↑Sat May 22, 2021 2:20 am Just an idea for everyone to input or beat up, how's about adding pve champs to zones when one side has aao.

Re: Instead of aao...
AAO is not there to defend a zone. You are supposed to lose the zone, if being heavily outnumbered. The point is to give incentive to be at least out on the battlefield and look for ways to kill someone quickly and bail out, before the zerg turns around.Shogun4138 wrote: ↑Sun May 23, 2021 3:52 amExcept that its really doesn't help when you get rolled. Any number of NPC wouldn't matter, because they would just melt. The end result would be the same and as mentioned above, it's not intended to hold zone with high aao.
Furthermore it matters how organized your underdog realm is. Seeing all the time that AAO shifts around, when underdogs wipes the opposition at keep and after a while they become the zerg.
Dying is no option.
Re: Instead of aao...
Balancing numbers would be better. No PVE Champs, but only a cap to avoid big gap from people defending / attacking zone.

Being outnumbered is part of the campaign, it's not a problem that needs to be fixed.
