Inspired by the awesome work that went into the ranked UI, would it be possible for an updated UI for the city siege scoreboard? This would both incorporate and replace the standard scenario scoreboard window that shows names/healing done/etc. I've mocked out a very (VERY) rough draft in that expert UI design program called MS Paint of the kind of things it could incorporate.
The main window would list the name of the city and the instance number at the top. Somewhere would be 3 buttons: "Roster", "Objectives" and "Scoreboard". Pressing these would change the information displayed in the window.
Roster Page
This shows the attacking and defending forces in more detail. There would be 2 lists of players which can be sorted by clicking on the column headings. The lists would have these columns:
1) Class (icon)
2) Role (icon, new. would be Melee, Ranged, Magic, Heal). This has its own column to make it easier to see how many of each role each side has.
3) Player Name
4) Player Guild
5) Player Alliance
Having the guild and alliance listed would make it instantly clear who you were facing rather than having to try and remember who belongs to what guild on what faction, and could help provoke some good rivalries again. A god-awful mock-up is here:
Spoiler:
This would show a breakdown of the objectives for each stage side by side and their outcome. Stages that have yet to occur would be greyed out.
Stage 1: Lists each flag and whether it is controlled by Order or Destruction
Stage 2: Lists each flag and whether it is controlled by Order or Destruction. In addition, lists all 4 lords and whether they are alive (A) or dead (D).
Stage 3: Lists the bonus for each realm based on the results of stage 2. In addition, it lists all 8 champions including class and role (see the "Roster" section for info on roles) and whether they were alive (A) or dead (D). Could also include a third option where they remained alive but timed-out. I forgot to include the third option on the image below. Note that the "A/D" things are just for the mock-up - they can and should be replaced with a better representation (full words or fancy images, like a face if alive, a skull if dead, and a clock if alive but timed out).
All stages: who the overall winner is and how long the stage took.
Another terrible mock-up:
Spoiler:
This would just embed the standard scenario/city scoreboard that shows healing/damage/etc. I'm not doing a mock-up of that as you know how it looks.
Also...
By default it would show the instance that you were in, but there could be arrows either side next to the instance name/number at the top that would let you cycle through the cities to track the results in more details across each city instance. If added then the option to bring up the city window should be available to everyone during the city siege - it could even be viewable until the next city siege starts. A drawback to this is that it could very easily lead to public shaming on the scoreboard, so the scoreboard should only be visible to the people who were in that instance and hidden to everyone else.
