[Ranked] season 3

Not even one game has been played since the start of the 3 ranked sc season. It's a bit sad that you can't use all the content of the game. I want every aspect of the game to be playable and you could get the gear you want. In my opinion this can be done with a few simple steps.

1. the MMR system will only be needed for the final awards at the end of the season. It will not be taken into account when selecting players for the game. This will result in a high turnover of players and different configurations which will result in players in some lineup eventually being able to win ranked sc.
2 Win 20 emblems + 1 insignia. MMR does not matter when receiving insignia.
Tie 10 emblems. Loss 5 emblems.
3. Add weapons for emblems/insignia.
4. maybe some cool armour/weapons skins?

On a personal note, I would like you to change the ugly mantle for Chosen 1-3 place in season 2 to a former banner (bloodlord) :).

In general ranked sc need to be much closer to regular sc because without mass population of players no one will play them.

Agreed.
That's the main issue, and the easier fix will be to get rid of MMR barrier for ring ; one insigna after each win, put the ring to 100 insigna and done.

Now you may have the needed critical mass to keep the thing alive and active.

Also, please hide the MMR :
1.it only serves the matchmaking process,
2.players generally will not care,they only want to see their rank in leaderboard (for final rewards and/or fame, to see their probable opponents, etc.)

This way you will have a less toxic and stressful experience for everyone, without the constant fear of losing MMR after one defeat (wich leads people to simply quit because they dont see their MMR going up - aggravated behavior by the current 1k barrier), but with - hopefully - enough participation in a regular basis to make the thing work on the long run.

Then, with anough people playing, the matchmaking system, helped with the (now hidden) MMR, will match players in more and more "balanced" matches ; strong 6v6 classes will play together, while other can encounter similar setups, limiting the "unbalanced feeling", and globally enhancing the general experience.

It's sad to say, but with such a small community, and class balance being what it is (much more fitted - ST - archetypes for smallscale), you need everyone to participate, not the most hardcore, experienced, or OP classes to get in.
Yes, it will include casual players.
Yes, it will include unfitted classes and less efficient builds.
Yes, matches will be less "competitive".

But it's sadly needed for ranked to be a thing. Otherwise people will still continue to dodge queue and wintrade with their 1-2 same groups on each realm...

Have you considered the fact that nobody wants to do ranked because it sucks and is not what the majority of people wanted? They could have literally had normal SC's with the new gear and everyone would have been happy.

I think, lets call it 'competitive 6v6', is very attractive, especially to long time players of the game. The problem is that a Ranked system with MMR just wasn't the way to go.

I'm quite sure it is the system that drove people away, and not the idea of competitive 6v6.

As stated before i too believe that it would be wise to remove mmr completely. It drives people away and i havent had a pop since forever. Everything is better than a dead gamemode.

Group ranked has been popping every week in pre-season 3. Make a 6 man and queue up, ping people in ranked discord and they will make a group to fight.
