Few questions from a potential new player

Hey so I've been thinking of playing this game and I was interested in asking a few questions before hand:

Firstly do you guys have any addon recommendations?(looking for an overhaul to the UI especially).

Secondly I was wondering if the combat is tab targeting basically? And if so does the option to write macros to mouseover exists(or just mouseovers in general)? Are macros even a thing here?

How friendly is this game to a casual player and in general where can I learn about the different classes(looking to be an edgy mage(was a warlock in WoW basically)) mainly like relatively tanky mages but open to something that can kite as well.

Lastly how is the community? Is it mainly chill dudes and duddettes who want to have fun or more the min maxing type who dread that which is suboptimal?

Few addon packs with presets on forums, moderators ban for agresion, tanky mage, magus am/shammie. Suboptimal is wow things, but warband have some prefered classes here.

VinyUI is a nice UI makeover that comes with many useful add-ons baked in: viewtopic.php?f=66&t=6371&sid=b0446a9c3 ... 53c6258000

You can use assist macros on targets, but not sure if these are setup for mouseover.

Game is fine for casual players (lots to learn, so just take your time with it) and the classes are all listed here on the Wiki: https://wiki.returnofreckoning.com/Classes

Magus, Shaman, Archmage and Bright Wizard are probably the ones you should look at if you want a mage. (Magus can become quite tanky in the right gear and spec.)

Community is a mix of everything, as with most MMO groups - some casual, some hardcore, and a lot of people in the middle. The longer you play the more likely you'll end up gravitating towards the more organized groups, as these are usually the most successful.

When attacking city goldbags would drop main sovereign or new warlord pieces. Kills from rr70+ would drop BoE Boots and Gloves to both sovereign/warlord sets.

New unified currency is great but it doesnt mean that there shouldnt be Setpieces/awsome proc wpns in Fort/City Purple&Gold bags... And RvR Inf is great way to introduce new Useful gear instead of rr38 we now get. There is already existing 60dps 63dps 66dps wpns for every class (dont remember 2h values but they exist/are found in Armory) So adding that 60 dps to Fort Purplebag/Lost Vale hero drops like in AoR. From Old citysiege BW/MAGUS lvl52 Lords dropped 63 dps and Then to Enemy King Instance and Lords there dropped 66dps wpns before you got to fight Enemy King. Highest dps in AoR before RR100 Patch.
