Maybe it is time for a Q&A-Session with the Devs

The nights are getting longer, it's getting colder outside and the last few years it's been the time when players come back to RoR from their summer break.
However, I'm afraid that won't be the case to the same extent this year. The mood in the community is very depressed. The last major balance changes have led to entire guild WBs no longer taking place.
Various iconic characters are no longer playing or only very sporadically. It is sometimes difficult, even on a weekend, to find a PUG-WB in the open that you can simply join.
If this trend continues, then I think this project will have a very hard time in the near future. Especially as several alternatives are (or will be) opening up at the moment.

I perceive a communication problem between the developers and the community. I would therefore welcome one (or more) Q&A sessions with the devs in the near future.
There the community could address their questions and hopefully get answers and the devs could outline the planned further development and hopefully rebuild trust.

I am not certain this server has developers anymore. I think it’s just the balance team and I am not sure how many of them there are. So little communication from anyone anymore about what is happening on the server. It’s sad.

Nice to see some people still here.

Dont want to be that guy but... most Devs dont even play the game and only listen to their close friends. They just dont care.

But keep trying, mate. Maybe someday something change, hopefully.

there are bug fixes happening, and PVE changes happening. Be nice if there was an RvR dev actively working on things like Eka does for PVE. Wonder why there isn't.

They don't care...

If anyone in the world cares about the game than the people who made this server possible. People who cry out loud that the developers have an evil agenda in mind have absolutely no clue what unbelievable amount of work lies behind it. 99.9% of people who play this game have done nothing to make all this possible besides playing the game. I would argue that they don't care. Almost nobody would play this game if they had to put so much work behind it by themselves. If you really care, then try to make your own server from scratch. Learn how to reverse engineer codes. Learn to code things by yourself. Learn how to host all this. This, by all means, is the epitome of caring. But nobody would put this amount of work on their hands to play the game because they don't care enough. They only care to play but not build.

You have all rights in the world to complain about certain things and paths that happen on this server.
This is good; this is encouraged.
Like OP did with this post. Respectful and constructive

But at no time someone should ever argue that they don't care.

If this were my server, I would have been burned out a long time ago. I can't imagine how strong their mental health has to be.

It's a shame how easily accusations of uncaring get thrown around these days. How the developers get strictly offended.

They developed the game furthermore when only 50 people were around to play and would definitely do so if it would happen again. Because they truly love this game in a way most people here will never understand.

In a way even I don't understand.

No one is taking away credit from the devs, let's stop with the drama. The point is simply not to do things carelessly. And it's precisely because they are deserving that the community expected something better than these mediocre 2024 patches. Today, the meta is still dominated by ranged setups consisting of SW or white-booted show-offs protected by an army of archmages, and it's the same the other way around. This may not be the best representation of the dark and brutal Warhammer universe, beyond the fact that we're constantly facing the same thing over and over again. So yes, a Q&A session seems like a good idea to get an overview of the whole project. But if the community continues to be of little importance to the devs, then yes, this game will collapse under the weight of the bad decisions that are already greatly undermining it today.
