Yep typically classed that overperform all have low haning fruits (best abilities) in the 1-9 range or as core.

Mara is a good example where 10+ abilities and tactis are not worth using.

Bg old mid tree is another one where basic avoidance and cc is more costly the avg for tanks
A reasonable RvR system that could make the majority happy http://imgur.com/HL6cgl7

SH needs rr50 for the finisher without losing heal debuff and range tactic.

Where some classes can get everything they need at 40/40 others need rr70 or rr60 with the extra point from set bonus to be able to be competitive in comparison to other classes.
+1

Lack of additional mastery points will make certain builds an impossibility.

This will be also straight nerf to many classes.

Now if we combine that with repeated discussions about removing RD, CW, armor pots, etc it will push ROR into being more gear dependant.

Since I've been starting playing this server all I hear is that gear power creep ruined AOR and for now announced changes and rumored/discussed changes make gear even more important.

Look at marauder for example (worse/best case depending on how you look at it) rank 38 is good enough to get what you need, slayer rank 40, heal dok 40/40, heal zeal 40/40 (although 50 and 60 rr give u ap ritual and chaotic force if deemed the right situation to use that tactic).
Shaman which as my fav class is my main issue needs rr 70 or rr60 with set granting an extra point either in da green or mork to get fury of da green and still be able to get dsu and sticky feetz, dropping either 1 of these is basically a nerf and will warrant swapping you out for a different healer.
Morfee - Shaman / Mynnos - Kotbs / Grubod - Black Orc / Snubz - Squig Herder

That is one thing. Other thing is that some unconventional, odd, "suboptimal" builds open up at RR50,60 or 70 that rely not on adding another skill or tactic to your usual FOTM / meta build but on "weird" build that is interesting / unconventional but is impossible to make without those additional mastery points. That was propably main driver of renown advancement for me.

My WE ultimate dream spec would require rr70...
http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=we; ... 1:;0:0:0:0:

Which I guess will never happen now?
And now with new armour sets coming, some classes will be even harder to kill, whereas WE/WH with light armour will be even further behind in relation to other mdps in terms of orvr survivability. With even more wounds for all, We/Wh will just become more "challenging"...

Please just leave the Masteries alone. If you start shifting abilities and tactics around, you seriously risk causing more imbalances than you hope to solve.

No.

We will do more or less as we please, and you're along for the ride. Read the rules, and stop whining for the sake of whining.

I think it's good direction, no mastery from rr rank
it makes you more dependent on teammates
we might need 2 same dps classes with different tree in grp
it might sux that u can't use all cool skills but stuck with 1.5 tree
though it open more variety for realm's PoV
3 trees 3 different kind of SM, chosen, Mara etc.
also less grind to rank up, enjoy battles
SM8, SW8, AM8, WL7, KoBS5, BW5, WP8, WH7, IB7, Eng5, RP5, SL6
BG8, Sorc8, DoK8, WE7, Chs8, Mg8, Ze7, Mara8, BO6, SH7, Shm5, Chop4

Logical fallacy and illusion.

Grind won't be lessened. Most group builds used on ROR in recent months required RR40-50. To wear new rvr/sc sets and other such new gear you will most likely need somewhere between/around RR40-50.

Where comes from this lesser grind and more variety you speak of?

It is not trolling, nor is partisan tactic to spam posts with my stance. I did adress actual statement concerning grind made by poster I quoted and this 'lesser grind' argument was not made by others previously.
