Thanks for the hint, that seems to work and by setting it to auto both the flickering and shadowing through layers is gone :)

Just to be clear what I did:
1) pressed POS1, dragged MXAO to top of the list
2) right clicked the entry - Edit source code - qUINT_mxao.fx - identified presets in line 53 (1=Low, 2=Very Low ... 8=Auto)
3) went to [RoR folder]\Reshade\Sildurs-Enhanced-WAR-v4.0.1-Default.ini and changed line 264 (MXAO_GLOBAL_SAMPLE_QUALITY_PRESET) from preset 4 (High) to 8 (Auto)
Worked for me so far, thanks!

Looks awesome but sadly MXAO cause flickering in fights. The whole screen flicker =(
but it looks so good with MXAO

another thing Vulcan / 64bit causes animation problems. NPCs going and attacking backwards. It only runs fine (animations) with 32bit!

There is no 64bit. The animations problems is the uncapped framerate. both executables are 32bit .its just stupidly named on Launcher. one has fps cap to 100, which makes animations work correctly and otherone not. About the MXAO flickering. try older version. I had flickering with 4.x version also. 3.x seems to work fine.

Sildur, not sure if you will find this useful but I just compiled Reshade 5.3 and removed Bit Depth lock on it. It's there if you wanna toy with it.
