The Server Has closed your connection you have been discanec

This started happening to me around 9pm EST and after restarting my computer I can't no longer even sign in - the web server status is red and the login server status is yellow.

I've done a virus scan and verified my firewall settings to no avail.

Im having this now as well. Just restarted PC and router etc... The msg I get is:

"Could not connect to Login server
System.Net.Sockets.SocketException (0x80004005): A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond
at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.Connect(IPAddress[] addresses, Int32 port)
at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.Connect(String host, Int32 port)
at RoRLauncher.Client.Connect()"

The launcher shows the web server as "Yellow" for a while, eventually it goes Green... Then the actual log in server shows Red... Then that msg....

Same thing is happening to me and multiple guild mates. Also I noticed we lost about half of our population to this on the website.

I did manage to get a "green" on the login server. Loaded up WAR, got to the second set of text on the right, I think it was "finding allies" after "locating battles".

Then it says "authentication failed - Closing game" or something of the sort...

Server has been taken down for patching.

Its not still down is it? A few guild mates are online right now.... Said they havnt been off for hours....

Gatekeeper, you're right.

My guild is in Teamspeak and there are about half of us with the ability to play. The other half gets random red/yellow/greens on web server and login server, ultimately crashing if it allows them in at all.

DCd in TM and now the RoRLauncher is acting up showing yellow for some time then going either green or red depending on how it feels. Cannot connect even on green. Web Server is showing Red as im typing this.

No changes to PC recently and havent had any unusual problems like this since i started playing last year.

Re downloaded launcher and it worked! Delete the old 1 and reDL the launcher.

I'm now having this issue as well. I was logged in and my character, Whaaaageroo, took a flightmaster from Inevitable PC to Kadrin Valley. I was kicked to the the character selection screen in mid-flight.

From that point on, when I tried to log in with that specific character I'd get the message "The server has closed your connection; You have been disconnected". Then the server selection dialog box would pop up, I'd select "Martyr's Square", get to the character selection screen, rinse, repeat.

To my buddies my character shows as being online. So, I figure that there's an error where the server thinks my character is already online and won't let me log in a second time. I stayed logged off for a couple of hours hoping that the server would boot my character for idleness. No go. I still couldn't log in, and my buddies still see my character as being online.

I rolled another character and was able to log in just fine.

I suspect that a restart of the server daemon will fix this. We'll see.

A GM booted my phantom character for me and I was able to log on him afterwards.
