Authentication Fails before Server Select

Now I have seen that some people have posted about this before and I have tried a VPN.
The VPN works, it starts authenticating with the Server, but because the VPN is quite slow it times out.
Without running a VPN I get no Server select Screen or messages until it kicks me and tells me that Authentication failed.

Has anyone found a way to fix this that I didn't see?

Also just in case it helps. I am in the UK and using a TalkTalk Router.

All help be appreciated as me and a few buddies would like to play!

im using same router with same problem :O i turn of windows defender n after a few attempts the server lets me in. or in rare cases it takes about 20 trys to get on, not figured out any other way to get on though good luck

I don't have a Firewall on at all (turned off) and it seems to be the router and not the PC by the sounds of things.
VPN's just aren't fast enough to play online!

Authentication error occurs when the server and client can't establish a full connection. There are many factors that could cause this and it's not always easy to resolve.

Anything ranging from PC configurations, to local network configurations and even ISP configurations could cause this. Try checking the forum for previous posts about it for more information, also use google for troubleshooting tips.

Does anyone happen to know the Server IP and the port it uses?
Wanna try and set an exception on my Router for it and see if that helps!

Should be in the mythloginserviceconfig.xml file
