Return of Reckoning

I just downloaded the torrent today. I moved it from my downloads and closed my torrent client. I changed permissions on the folder (basically gave everyone full permissions). I'm unable to fully uncheck Read Only, not sure why. When I run RoRLauncher.exe, it will come up, I will click update, it'll progress fast, and then close. Nothing else happens. I went through the pinned post, enabled directx 3.5 and legacy compatibility. Not sure what else to do.

I'm on Win10, GTX1070, 24GB RAM....

Make sure the game folder isnt on your desktop but somewhere else (preferably on your C drive). Also have you tried to set the RoR launcher/Ror updater aswell as both WAR.exe and WAR-64.exe to run as admin?
