Is mechanical hdd good investment these days?
Consider better options than "Storage: Seagate - Barracuda ES.2 500 GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive and SanDisk - SSD PLUS 120 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive." if you have to go mechanical; go for one of the 10krpm variants at very least. Windows spreads the cores around so intel is best option on the CPU and MSI do decent mobo', but the gigabyte gaming is up there with it.

For storage it is but for OS and software it is very bad.
Dying is no option.

Hey I need advice.

I plan to buy desktop pc in near future. Nothing hardcore expensive, because I have no plans for streaming, demand video editing or competitive fps gaming at 300+fps.

Option 1:
i5 9600kf(6 cores,6 threads, no integrated UHD 630, price 40% of i9 9900k)
16 gb ram
Gtx 1660 ti/rtx 2060/s

Option 2:
Ryzen 5 3600x(6 cores, 12 threads)
16gb ram
Rtx 590, vega 56/rx 5700 no xt

Both options gonna have samsung nvme m2 ssd.

Option 2 seems more future proof, but thanks to prices of processor and motherboard its abot 150 usd more expensive than option 1.

Older games I plan to play including RoR, AoE2 enhanced edition, etc. Benefit from faster single core performance(especialy after oc) so intel seems like better choice.

Any one of you have similar kind of hardware to share Your personal expirience?

Thanks for replies.

few months ago I put together:
ryzen 3600 on MSI Mortar motherboard.
NVME drives.
2060 RTX
16 GB RAM 2400mhz
no overclock.

WAR runs very smoothly
Iam using OBS for frapsing with no issues, I cant even tell if its on or off. Iam not streaming.
with 200+ people at keeps/forts effects on all however will drop FPS, but still very playable. when effects set on self runs smooth everywhere.

Try to put it like this

the fastest (single core) -> the coldest -> the cheapest
(\|)o0(|/)

I wouldn't take an x570 board, not worth it.

I know that for my purposes even x370 can be enoug with updated bios, but offer is verry limited and even x470s is out of stock atm. X570 MBs are most available in my country.

That's sad to hear.
I build a new pc 2 weeks ago and got myself an Asus x470 Strix-f on Amazon. I am glad to have no mainboard fan. :D
