Return of Reckoning

Ever since the patch before the kegs end event I had minor issues with getting dropped to the character screen and i get a pop up that says the server has closed my connection. It was isolated to just SCs on occasion. After kegs end got patched in i started to get the same problem a lot more and now in Orvr. This also happens upon logging in a character sometimes. It will load the game starts to come up and then it dumps me right back to the character screen and says the server closed my connection.

Not sure if anyone else is having this issue or not. I have checked all settings i am running windows 10, i have the game in 64 bit. Made all setting in game set to fastest frame rate and I still get constant disconnects. Sometimes it drops me even when i am not doing anything now.

Also doesn't seem to happen while i pve at all either. I can farm mobs for days with 0 issue it is only when fighting in lakes or scs USUALLY. I had one disconnect in fort yesterday when i wasn't in combat but that was an extreme lag issue.

I only have this sometimes when logging in with my character the first time. Its loading and at the end of the loading it drops back to main menu where i have to accept the Server from the list again and then it loads just fine. Never seen it drop out from SC's or ORvR though.

Using Arch Linux, wine-staging5.0rc1 and the game is 64bit executable

It happens to my characters, when I log them in for the first time since the recent event has started. Double stuck in loading screen doesn't work reliably and I crash back to char selection a dozen times until in actually ports me back to norsca.

Same for me. I have to log a alt, log the alt out and then log my main.

The multiple log in at character screen is not what bothers me it is the random connection drops when the game is not even under stress that makes it highly annoying to play. No warning no lag, game playing normal one minute and the next minute it drops my connection.

Trying to figure out if it is like a router or internet problem but i don't seem to have any connection issues when playing other online games so it makes me think it is isolated to just this game.

Does Windows have something similar to dnsmasq? I remember having issues with some multiplayer games with my crappy 4G connection some time ago. It was the constant DNS requests that made the ISP to block the requests and connection dropped out. Dnsmasq fixed it by caching the dns stuff locally.

I am not sure about that.

I did have a problem with google chrome not loading some pages when being redirected on billing pages and yet on my phone on the same connection it loaded fine. Took me about 3 hours to figure out it was tied directly to the edge web browser for some reason and i had to reset the settings on it to make chrome work properly. I figured it might have been tied to that so i attempted to do the reset again but i still get the disconnect.
