Return of Reckoning

Installed the game a couple of days ago and there was no any connetion problems (except setup isssues). And today got "Could not connect to login server" all of a sudden. Read some threads tryed everything. And vpn fixed it. But it's really bad fix i'd say concidering the fact that a day ago vpn was not needed. Also win10 updated net.Framework today and maybe that's the issue? Anyway why this is happening?
