Changelog 19/11/16

by Azarael
[Reverts from Last Patch]
  • Divine Fury, Fanaticism and Murderous Intent no longer affect lifestealing skills.
  • The switch cooldown to or from Prayer of Righteousness and Covenant of Celerity is 5 minutes.
[Open RvR]
  • Keeps will now broadcast a region message when supplies are used to repair the door.
[General]

Guard
  • If a lifestealing skill has the damage split from Guard defended by the guarding tank, the heal portion of the skill will act as though it had hit.
[Experimental Mode]
  • Respecializing in Experimental Mode is free.
  • Attempting to disable a forced Experimental Mode will also print its changeset.
Warrior Priest / Disciple of Khaine

Tomes/Chalices
  • The regeneration of a tome or chalice now scales with the Morale scaler. With no morale bonus (less than 18 enemies nearby) these items will not regenerate any mechanic points. With full morale bonus (72 or more enemies nearby), these items will regenerate at their full rate.
Prayer of Devotion / Covenant of Celerity
  • Sigmar's Radiance and Transfer Essence are no longer undefendable, and heal for 5 times the damage dealt and mitigated with 20% strikethrough instead.
  • Sigmar's Shield lasts for 7 seconds, drains 15 RF per second and is no longer undefendable, having 20% strikethrough instead.
  • Divine Assault and Rend Soul remain undefendable, as they already have a weakness (interrupt).
Prayer of Righteousness / Covenant of Celerity
  • The drain mechanics have been changed. The drain will now occur for 10 seconds after the last time Covenant of Celerity or Prayer of Righteousness amplified the damage of a Wrath or Torture skill. This does not occur when a DoT ticks, but it does occur when you proc the Covenant or Prayer through dealing direct damage.

Tomes/Chalices

The regeneration of a tome or chalice is now linked to the Morale scaler. With no morale bonus (less than 18 enemies nearby) these items will not regenerate any mechanic points. With full morale bonus (72 or more enemies nearby), these items will regenerate at their full rate.
What is the range of "nearby"?

Does that mean WP can regen 16 fury when prayer of devotion+book are used with 72+ ennemies around ?

Did a few tests and I think pretty good changes so far however with the 5 minute timer it would be nice if it only applies a long cd if you are flagged for RvR or in a SC. TF essence now at about 1000 for weak targets which I think is a about right. Will be very effectiv against weak targts and not that strong against hard ones which I think is a good thing.

So I'm guessing this means the offhand items now provide an additional bonus on top of the Prayer of Absolution/Covenant of Tenacity RF/SE regen (provided you are satisfying the morale scaler conditions)? Which probably means they will remain largely useless in small scale combat but actually become stronger compared to the previous state when it comes to wb vs wb action.

Thank you for this and other QOL changes.

Correct, the bonus stacks. A Grace WP using a book in large scale combat would have +8. A Salvation WP using a book in large scale combat would have +16.

This is the good way, give advantage when you go to melee is better than nerf if you stay away (for RVR situation).

Interesting changes. Going to have to create separate zerg and skirmish loadouts in closetgoblin. Diversity is a good.

This is certainly showing sensitivity to the various factions among WP/DoK players. The PoR drain change will also take the pressure off wrathpriests to change stances.

I was worried when I saw undefendable was going but 20% is probably fine at RoR gear levels. The S'S changes imply you have some control over RF costs. How much control?
