I dont notice anny difference with the new war.exe tbh.
Same cpu n gpu usage.
and same fps drops sometimes.

It doesn't seem to affect anything important though.

But i get a feeling that the multithreaded code that was included in the client, wasn't fully tested by Mythic back then. Will stick to it nevertheless.
That crash is a LUA crash related to a map addon. Does it happen if you disable all addons and run stock UI?

... new war.exe change hardware cpu setup .. I do not understand how you can afford to interfere with hardware setup ...

Today I dl'ed new war.exe file on my other laptop and Panda Antivirus screamed it's a virus W32/Exploit.gen. It's a falsepositive I believe so you might want to report it directly to Panda so it won't happen in the future.

Sorry for necro this post....but im bitching about upgrade my cpu to make ror runs better but still not sure if the game benefit more from more cores over higher clock. What is better?? more cores/low clock or less cores/high clock??

BTW someone have recorded the cpu/gpu/ram usage while playing ?? or know some youtuber/streamer who show that info while playing??

like most games from it's time (dx9) it seems to use at most 2 cores (with the majority of work on a single core). I think the 64bit client also uses hyper threading, so get the strongest cores (clock + ipc) with HT that fit your budget.

Im on a overclocked ryzen 5600x and get about 20fps in forts, so don't expect any miracles :)

But didnt the new ror.exe made the game able to use more cores?? => Quoting wargrimmir:"we have a new exe file for war that FULLY utilizes multi-core CPUs" => Fully!!

My actual cpu is a i5 with only 2 core (4 threads) so really cant check if game take benefits for more cores...thats why im asking if REALLY game can use FULLY multi-core CPUs.
