Spoiler:
another feedback.
it seems pug 2h tanks are testing SnB instead of 2h.
and failing hard at guarding.
not sure why they got interested in guard suddenly.
at least they're trying it. good move.

in battle of 50% guard vs 10sec punt, i think 50% guard won.
having both was OP? i guess.
Your post is very convincing, particularly the part about the hard data you gathered; the argumentation is very fluent and carried by pure logic. I'm glad that eventually someone has wiped all the counterarguments away in a most eloquent and intelligent manner.
I guess we can no longer close our eyes to the truth.
From the bottom of my heart, i thank you.

Usually, what I see from pug tanks in SCs is this:
A. Tank puts guard on healer then immediately runs to the enemy back line and is never in guard range...then rages when no one is pushing because the healer is getting insta-gibbed or trained
B. Tank puts guard on DPS and is never in guard range but the DPS thinks he's guarded so he melts under any pressure
C. In rare exceptions, you run into a SC and get guard from a tank that at least stays with you
D. In even rarer cases, you get a tank that swaps guard.

zone zero issue is still strong in gunbad
you sometimes get ported to it, then back to the city

so nothing changed with the guarding skills !
only difference is that nowadays they do not bring anything else to the table :)

Point is, paperdoll stats is useless because parry contribution from WS grts negated by enemy strenght in all but egde cases, because dps has easier access to stackibg str than tanks do ws. So yeah the paperdoll is correct if you look at it isolated
I wouldn't assume DanielWinner's posted formulas are correct just because he wrote it in purple. I havent seen any evidence supporting what he is saying.

Kright
It is how it has always been, bar the period of different calculations a few months back, that got reverted. Check old patch notes and throw away your tinfoilhat
it dosent matter if it's that way or not, it just work vs guard dmg not all avoidance check and if it doea is the same for everyone and everyone will have the same value regardless be 2h or s+b...aka it's pointless discuss over it.
