Devs flip flop between “that’s how it was on live” and “this isn’t live.” Adjust to the changes and move on.
Pretty sure the people/person that complained about riposte were solos that were getting owned by riposte builds. Riposte has no play in large scale. No need to nerf it.

Well, first of all it was a bugs, and bugs should be fixed, class performance should be based on abilities, player individualities, group compositions etc. but not on bugs.

Next, the build we are talking here about is pretty much brainless, it requires no "skill" and/or game knowledge to be used, you just have to put oyk+repel wait for m1, pop m1, do backpedal and enjoy life. Not mater what abilities do you put in between, you just hope we/mara/choppa will hit you back cause if they run - you suck, if you meet rdps/tank/healer - you suck. And here comes the worst part of it, as a newbie wh using that build, you never learn to play your class properly. Riposte build is one of the reasons we have so many decent WEs and only few WHs running the game.

Bring back the AM/Shaman rework that made those classes actually viable. They could actually keep up with dps dok.

No one said anything about it being a bug, iirc, the ticket said "that's how it functioned on live."
Even if it was changed because it was a "bug," the overall statement is still true.

1. I don't play/main either class, so the riposte build nerf doesn't affect me.
2. This isn't a "skill" based game, it is a gear based, Rock Paper Scissors game.
The only "skill" that comes into play for 1v1 is centered around how you gear your class and allocate your renown points.

Depends actually, on several classes major part of you winning or losing is selecting the right abilities to use vs specific class. Not to mention using best tactics for your build.

Where there is much less skill involved is 6v6, where you need to use much less abilities, and have to rest of the team to carry you as far as weak sides of your class are concerned.

Dev's pick and choose what they want from live and what they hate from live. So, that could never be used.
