which isnt exactly done by anyone in enough numbers to have an effect on the game
That change actually only hurts people who are doing this. Why would anyone push a fort and then swap realms during city siege to do e.g. pve on the opposing side. It doesn't actually matter how many are doing it.

To do fort on a character that actually needs it? What kind of question is that. If you plan on doing city on Order but 3 of your guildmates are in fort on Destro on their lowbie char you get screwed by this senseless change.

Imagine even thinking fort losses are because of cross realmers instead of a general incompetence.

Play some NA evenings/nights. You'll see the kind of effect it can have.

it's beyond my understanding get social to farm gears. for fun, I partially get it.

those semi organised duo trio changing side is a thing. because you know, "organised"
It was borderline kill(farm) trading, to me at least.

Wouldn’t the system need to differentiate when the fortress is the one before a city happens (i.e the 2nd one), if they really want to prevent people from logging to the other side to fight in city? This would lock you out for a further 90 mins no matter which fort it is. Either way it’s a dumb idea. Just let people play what they want, they already have to sit through a 90 minute timer, why make it worse?

Order pushes vs next to no opposition and then Destro logs in for city, it has been this way for 9 months. When you have a lower pop and 4 different US time zones on top of any AU or EU logging in just for city it really isn't a mystery.

It used to be a stalemate EU and then Destro would push city in NA. Then the ram jumper alliance on Order formed and its been permanent IC ever since.

Character Names

Names of characters that have not been logged in for more than one year are now free to use. The old inactive character will be automatically renamed and its owner can pick a new name on next login. The newly implemented automation will keep releasing new names, from inactive characters, for you to use.

So no longer breaks allowed anymore?
