Fey wrote: Thu Jun 03, 2021 12:35 am Population will dwindle because of TBC, and the summer lull. Especially this year I expect the summer drop to be pronounced. Then it will recover.
While population drops are common, dropping pop if you're at a critically low pop could be fatal.
RoR has survived for years - and will survive for years to come. Although population can be a metric to identify feedback (in a very warped manner) - population count alone has never steered development of the server.

As Fey mentioned, there's a few big names in the MMORPG industry coming out this year - and it's natural that these will pull a few players here and there but the population ebbs and flows and there's no worry from the team at this time to suggest that we need to be making drastic changes to keep / bring players to the realm.

"RoR has survived for years"
Thought games is for fun but RoR is for survive. Ok, survive without me.

Suggesting that RoR hasn't been fun for you for years - in which case, it may be an option to look at alternatives. RoR surviving, means enough players have been enjoying themselves and building friendships to return day after day. We've had peaks and troughs as with any MMORPG but to continue to thrive suggests we are moving in the right direction with the changes that we are making.

Don't get me wrong - there are changes the team make that need reverting, at the end of the day we are volunteers and aren't industry experts - which is where constructive feedback comes into play. However people threatening to leave because they don't like a specific point in a patch note won't be the reason we revert otherwise every change will end up being reverted.

If you dislike something, open a constructive thread about it so we can gauge feedback on a larger scale with actionable information.

Even as a none NB user im curious what's about to happen next.
Imho it would be less drama if things like disable NB would be discussed with the community before implementing.

Or will they come back? You think pve aspect in pvp game may lure lots of ppl? Some yes, many no. This is not WoW

On the other hand, hard headed attitude and radical moves will discourage ppl for sure.

Exactly my point. Devs were so good in talking to players, we had this nexus of mutual respect. And this damn patch... It basically destroys all this good faith.
