May indeed be what I'm remebering having been quoted as actual live formula. But apparently was not the case by 1.4.8, allthough I cannot find anything confirming it was changed other than your comment, but I will take your word for it :D

If I'm reading your comment incorrectly and this was indeed the formula up until live ended, I guess my recollection wasn't entirely **** though. I would be somewhat surprised if Londo got this incorrect to be honest.

Thank you for this adjustment regarding melee DPS. Now we can have ranged battles without being disturbed. It's so much fun! There are still a few White Lions or Slayers who don't want to comply, but soon we'll have completely discouraged them, and we can stay exclusively ranged. Thanks again, it's a great job with a lot of thought put into it, and we can already see the positive impact on the game and its community.

Seeing quite many melee DD in regular sc. Someone has to tell them, that they are extinct.
Dying is no option.
