Live Event: Daemon Moon Bleeding

The Daemon Moon Decaying will start on October 25th at 12:00 Altdorf time and last until November 4th 12:00 Altdorf time.

Bug Fixes
Image

[21785] - [WL] Pet randomly despawning, aggroing, disappearing throiugh walls
[21803] - WL - Pet move speed / Speed Training
[21573] - Squig pet bug
The fact that pets are being looked at is awesome news for a lot of players, new and old :)

However, with all the current pet related bugs( https://bugs.returnofreckoning.com/view.php?id=23425 ) and the Live Event starting tomorrow, is it an option we will see a temporary revert to pre-patch-pets if possible? Currently their state is sadly much worse than before.

Could maybe toss the pet experiment on PTS(?), so the people who do not mind testing and finding bugs can do it without giving new and old players massive amount of frustations :D

Sad to see that patch brings more problems than solutions. Totally frustrating! Lucky me I'd download game tomorrow and now I won't! I'll stay on Elden Ring.

However that is not relevant to this patch, they ''worked '' right after the ability patch went live. The problem right now after this patch is that the pets are more or less broken.

The WL lion pet disengages from the target despite given mutliple commands to attack, sometimes it works but most of the time it is too frustrating to be playable.

The SH pet from what i am reading is despawning on attack, this is of course unplayble.

I appreciate the fact that they are trying to fix and restore pets to their previous state however this latest patch has made these pets unplayable in practical sense.

Strikethrough is now limited to 50% of the defender’s defenses, calculated after buffs and debuffs.
Huh?
Like... not even a soft limit so that at least half of the strikethrough counts towards the other half? Just straight hard cutoff and every little bit of avoidance now gives half the value no matter what and every1 with 0 investment(well, 2 renown points sure) can now avoid anything randomly.

Also rip rampage lol.
I'm wondering does that mean my strike through is always 50% of the defenders defences or my strike through is up to 50% of the defenders defences?

~~What? I couldn't disagree more strenously.~~

Edit: Nevermind, I'm sick as **** and thought it was Shatter Confidence that triggered it, not sunder. So, I like it better mildly. It makes a PvE ability have use in PvP which is nice, and I like it slightly more now that it's not gated behind SC as a conditional buff. Still, I would like it more on something like Perseverance, if we want to make an unused skill have relevance again.
I agree using Perseverance would make more sense, at least as long as the buffs duration would match the cooldown of it.

On the other hand gating the buff behind the use of Sunder which isn't a skill I would use as a 2h knight is cumbersome and only buffs Snb builds at the same time.

I would prefer if it would go into a 2H only skill so there are two ways of activating the buff that negate each other. Arching Swing would be a good option here.

From the way it is worded it looks like avoidance buffs or debuffs happen before the max strikethrough is calculated.

The 2nd example is if you have 25% parry strikethrough, and the opponent has 30% base parry +10% from a buff, then your strikethrough is limited to 20%. So the defender has a final parry of of 20%.

Then it stands to reason that if you have 25% parry strikethrough, the opponent has 30% base parry but then -10% from a debuff (e.g. Staggering Impact) then your strike through is limited to 10% and the defender has a final parry of 10%.

It makes the debuffs that are applied to enemies (staggering impact, pierce defences) much stronger than self-buffs/tactics that increase strikethrough (rampage, discerning offence, 7pc tank sov off proc)

It is simple. Strikethrough can only ever ignore 50% (half) of a target's avoidance value.

I agree with your point of Sunder being an unnecessary addition to the 2h kotbs abilities rotation (if one desire to use new Coordination tactic at all). But I disagree with Perseverance or Arcing Swing abilities as potential alternatives for Parry buff to 2h kotbs.
If we move Parry buff from Sunder to Perseverance it will be even better again for shield kotbs to take Coordination tactic and run with extra 20% parry and 10% block from Shield Rush. There's no need to buff shield kotbs more while trying to add a parry to 2h kotbs.
If we move Parry buff from Sunder to Arcing Swing it will tie 2h kotbs too much to one ability which already lowers HP and has a nice crit debuff tactic on top of it. That's why I don't think that adding parry buff tactic to Arcing Swing is a wise decision.

I used Arching Swing as it was the first skill that came to mind that requires a great weapon to wear. Another option would be of of course to have something like "If you wear a great weapon you also gain 20% parry for for Xs.".
