Yep.
We've taken some steps to try and mitigate these issues from occurring, but there's only so much we can do code-wise to prevent accidents. The rest is on players to not derp. At least Anni isn't THAT expensive (also you can buy boots/gloves on the AH for gold, sell the extra pair maybe?).
