So I've decided to focus my zealot for the time being to get him to 40 first. My question is how should I be spending mastery points and renown points while I'm leveling up? So far my time has been solo questing pve, doing solo PQs, and running some SCs in between.

WEll its not a secret anymore for RvR its dodge\disrupt as much as u can. Ordies are rolling a shitloads of range. IM GUESSING YOUR ARE HEAL SPEC; otherwise i cant help you.

First points into left tree for Chaotic Force and Ritual of Innervation.

Renown points, defensively you want Deft Defender for dodge/disrupt and some Futile Strikes to get your chance to be crit down to a point you're comfortable with, then Spiritual Refinement to boost your heal crit due to the Blessing of Chaos tactic.

You don't want 15% extra crit chance on your main flash heal, fair enough. Never off my tactic bar for heal zealot or RP.
