Pet Survivability

With the recent changes to how pets do not recieve Group Heals anymore I find it almost impossible to make use of our core mechanic in RvR. Even when only getting 10% of all AoE my horrors die almost instantly when summoned anywhere near a keep. How are you guys dealing with this?

Even the blue Horror (which reduces your effective range of abilities) dies within seconds from random Engi dots and BW AOE. I understand the reason for excluding pets from Group Heal but the situation right now is really unsatisfying. I can only imagine how bad it must be for Squigs/ WLs...

well i tested and it looks like the magus pet is still taking full dmg while it just should take reduced aoe dmg after last pet/aoe change ^_^
anybody know how much the reduction is?

AoE is not allways AoE.
For example the AoE from the Siege Cannons can't be Dodged.
Gun Turret or Pink Deamon dies very fast to them if you have several of them firing at your position.

I have the same suspicion. According to Devs, the AOE reduction for pets should be 90% (so they only take 10% dmg from aoe sources).
Maybe we can get some logs in to clear this up?

Ask your healers to heal pet too.
Dying is no option.

Maybe works for small scale, doubt it will work in wb+ size

As long as they don't show up in the grp-overview it's hard to look after pets. I know there are one or two add-ons that show pets, too, but most player won't use them.
If pets where treated as "extra-party-members" in party or wb overviews it would be alot easier to heal them.
