[DOK]So why Sanguinary Extension is considered a good ability?

Wondering about for a long time. In total hit+dot, it does a little over 2x dmg of a baseline ability (say of Cleave Soul), with practically speaking 15 sec CD on same target (no reason to refresh it before), and with a standard str scaling, translating assuming 2.7 weapon/dw/aa haste tactic +regular abilities at say average 1.3 sec to:

2.7 x 1.5= 1.8 weapon speed, 15/1.8 speed * 1.5 dual wield= 12.5 hits over 15 sec.
15/1.3=11.5 abilities hits over 15 sec.
Total hits over 15 sec 12.5+11.5=24, translates into Sanguinary Extension giving over 15 sec extra 1/24 hits or so= extra 4-5% dmg.

It also has no special effects, aside from dot proccing heal debuff which from what I understand is unintended and will be removed.

It from other hand does requires speccing into tree and spending point on it, with it being the only Torture skill which isn't dw locked making the tree unattractive second tree for Sacrifice/Dark Rites dok, and "might as well drop a point into it" for Torture dok once dot proccing heal debuff is removed.

So why Sanguinary Extension is considered a good ability- I do remember reading some doks recommending using it on CD? Or should we start making suggestions on how to improve it?

I tried proc'n the heal debuff with it and it didn't work. Sure you didn't change targets?

Specifically tested it in targets in IC to make sure I don't miss something, critted dot ticks do seem to proc heal debuff.
