[Engineer] Does parry work if you have your gun equipped?

As SW, When the target is in melee range your AA changed to melee attack automatically.
you can still use bow skills in melee range but AA remains melee as long as the target is in melee range.
i think melee/range status changing is automatic.
thus parry in melee range is also auto.
