[IB] Combined reduction damage (Tactic+renown)

Hi everyone,

I am wondering if the reduction damage from Shield Mastery tactic, Seasoned Veteran tactic and Hardy Concession renown ability combine for an amount of 35% reduction damage when Shield mastery tactic procs (if not, it would be 20%).

As a pure defensive Ironbreaker, is it the way to go? To spend renown points in block % and Hardy Concession (damage reduction ?

Thank you.

Regards,

Hardy Concessions doesn't work.
But all other dmg modifiers should stack.

It's not working intendedly as well as "trivial blows".

Hellcore,

Those tactics stack multiplicatively, not additively. Bear that in mind also.

It's debatable wheter the return is too diminshing or not. To me it doesn't justify hogging up 2 tactic slots.

Food for thought.

Nah basically, mitigating 5%, then 15% is not mitigating 20%. If you get 100 damage and mitigate 5%, there is 95 left. Then you mitigate 15% of that, which is 14,2. Not much difference, but still.

Anyway, as SnB, I think you gain much more by going tri-spec than high in Stone, as getting Earthshatter, the parry buff and the crit buff is really a must have. Something like this is good for level 40 :
waronlinebuilder.org - Ironbreaker build

You can mess around for the 4th tactic, using armor, Seen it all before, Shield of reprisal, etc.

Wouldn't Furious Reprisal be meh if your target is knocked down for 3 of the 5 seconds, or do you use it frequently in small scale even if the target is immune?

Thoughts on Punishing Knock?

I'm wondering about furious reprisal as well. Best for DoK who happens to have KD immunity?

Punishing Knock definitely for doks since they can't cleanse it, but you also don't see a ton of doks melee.
