[WH] Tips and Input

Hello all! So I ticked 40 on my WH (Coritzi) a bit ago and am looking for some tips/input on where I stand. My WH's timeline has basically gone like this:

1-9 Run/stab/die/repeat!
10-15 - Muahaha stealth I will now kill you all (shammies exempt)
16-39 - The respawn window sure is pretty. Hey why'd you kick me from WB?

Now, at 40/55, I actually feel somewhat competent. I've pulled off some quality ganks, and I feel like I pull my weight moderately well during sieges. I just feel like there is some fine-tuning and tweaking that would do me some good. Some of the higher RR witchies still devour me 1v1, and I have trouble pinning down shamans to finish them off (not sure if this is an issue with the WH class or the shaman class.) Your average zealot/DoK eventually come down, haven't had too many run-ins 1v1 with choppas/mauras so not sure how those would go. These are basically my question areas:

WE - staying close to them just absolutely drains my health bar in the blink of an eye, and I feel like they have some kind of 6/7s stun that I'm always getting his with. Should I be trying to pop in and out of melee range?

Shamans - Y u so much faster??

'Silence' - what exactly is defined as a 'cast'? All magus/sorceress abilities? What about shaman/DoK?

A lot of this is admittedly my own ignorance on the enemy classes (I know, knowing your class is good, knowing your enemy's class is better, but who has time for that?) I'm sure it also has to do with my absolute love affair with Dragon Gun, which everyone seems to laugh at me for. Link to my build below, any input would be appreciated!

About stun you probably experience Agile Escape - exact mirror of Declare Anathema. I am sure you know how useful this skill is. Especially it give only 10 sec immunity.
Srul - Shaman
Sruula - Witch Elf
Jurwulf Srulson - Chosen

According to the tooltips on the RoR Builder, DA is a 3 second stagger and AE is 6. Would hitting Sigil of Sigmar earlier in the fight prevent that staggeR?

You can preemptively use absorb pots and detaunt if you know you'll get jumped.
Does detaunt hit stealthed enemies?

If the aoe cap change stays similar, I think people would be wise to realize the potential of Dragon Gun as a support tool in WB play. This ability can:
-pump 300 morale for party (for reference, AM pump is 250)
-drain 300 morale from each enemy hit, up to 24 targets
-debuff 50% outgoing healing for 5sec for each enemy hit, up to 24 targets
-single target knockdown from 30ft
all on a 10 second cooldown.

So yeah... I'm a hopeless DG fan.
I definitely don't think you're wrong for using it. I haven't checked it out but I would guess that the WE clone of this ability isn't as useful because as I understand it, WE bullets proc randomly on attacks instead of from finishing moves.

I haven't played my WH much, just recently got out of the godforsaken sub-RR40 swamp, but I think this is a fun and cool build: https://builder.returnofreckoning.com/c ... ,4356,4367
revolving around using Dragon Gun to cause mischief and otherwise spamming executions to capitalize on Flowing Accusations, Bullet damage and Blessed Blade. Hardcore Witch Hunters will tell you to go for a Burn Away Lies spec but this is similar to yours and I have liked using it. Then again I have an obsession with non-mainstream hipster specs.

I would take out that last point in the first tree and take pistol whip or shroud of magnus and surely both at rr60.
Pistol whip deals a lot of damage and is a stun on demand.
Shroud of magnus is on the same CD as the speed vanish but will save your ass so many times. Alone it justify slotting vindication.

Take out riposte. I used it a lot as well, it’s powerful, but it gives you bad habits. Hit from the back favor burst damage. Change it for flanking or brute force.

Average marauders and choppas are not a thread. WE, if not full defensive, can be manage by a clean engage BAL and good positioning.
