Is WP dps viable?

A semi-successful DPS build, if you want to call it that. Is going as a tanky melee healer. Primarily specing into Grace and abit into wrath. Stack your armour high and then add some toughness. Sure you won't be a damage dealing monster, but through self healing and being very tanky, you will rack up damage sub par of most dedicate DPS classes, but combine that with the amount of healing you will do and it's pretty decent. If you get strong enough you'll easily be able to 1v1 ANY class.

I can see a dps WP (Wrath, not Grace) being viable when grouped with a SM and WL for armor debuff and spirit debuff. Dont know how reliable their inc hdbuff is currently (can remember it was changed somewhat even after the ab ex wp/dok revert).

The WP INC heal debuff is legit. 10s cooldown, 50% reduction, 100% uptime.

The weird part is tho is that is does no damage. Will hopefully get fixed in the future.

Its hard to find yourself a spot in a 6man as a DPS WP, but grouping with a WL and SM is your best chance. Divine Justice works really well with SMs and their double spirit debuff, and the WL's armor debuff is sorely needed.

The WL and WP combo are good at bursting, the issue is that the WL can move alot more freely around the battlefield while WP has no root breakers or anything.

Atm i wont recommend playing a dmg WP, even tho it looks cool. Wait for the hopefull coming balance patches.


But in the end this game is about having fun. So if you are ok with beeing not on top of everything, or needed in most groups... go for it!

yep you have fun but you ruin fun for another 11 people with you in scenarios

When you have no pocket tank, then not viable at all.

Depends on how you define viable. Do you want similar sps to a slayer or whit lion? Then nope, re-roll a proper dps.

If you want to do enough dos to hurt while having a toolbox of rez, combat heals etc then sure, it's viable.

You will not get into any competitive warbands with a dps WP but you'll probably have fun solo and in pugs/sc's.

My old live server had a WP guild for alts called Adepta Sorroritas that where all femme WPs that ran dps spec.

As long as you run in a good 6 man and dedicate yourself fully to actually being a dps it can work great.
