WH and WE are not really assassins/rogue classes like in other mmos, they are a light meele dps with good burst and a 30 sec stealth . Thats it you will die alot, wb wont really invite you , BL groups will not want you , your hardly do anything to help win scenario if you solo , etc...
Other than that if you never played War WE/WH are not the easiest one to start with . Try a tank, healer or rdps

Currently Order side is floating with solo DD players who are here to kick ass and chew bubblegum, only that Destro side is all out of gum (and you can guess where they are gonna get it ).
The game itself rotates around group(6) and warband(24) play thus order solo dd overflow creates huge realm vs realm imbalance.
If you are playing WH, stop for some time and roll a tank - class order hugely lacking.
Explore the world, learn crafting skills, acquire some wealth and items; find some friends who would like to play with you in party.
Only after that you can resume playing WH - if you want to be good at it.
If you bypass this you will be just another enemy realm feeder (waay more than enough already tbh) and will be frustrated with game.

Re: [Witch Hunter] New player looking for a build!
WH ... hardest ... and most fun class to play.
Sub 40/40 Keys.
The class is Light Armor, so as said above you will die a lot. Do not waste talisman slots, on anything defensive. Always look for and get (or make) highest Strength tallies you can slot in your weapons and armor.
Specking renown; You will notice that if you specc enough rr pointS into something, the stat numbers will turn orange in your paper doll. So ... when speccing rr, just spec enough till you are right below the Orange part. The rest specc into parry, and use your parry and ripost tactics.
CR40RR40 +
Once you hit 40. you have options. Play around with pure damage specs. Check out your tactics, choose the ones you like and start experimenting.
Each WH has their own fav play style. but you will find yourself solo roaming a lot. While this is a group game, the WH and the WE have little group utility. That's fine. Solo ROCKS!!!! Getting that solo kill is a pure high.
Most important ... dont give up, the WH is the hardest class to play. You actually need to think and pay attention to what abilities, buffs, debuffs, etc your opponent has at every second of the fight. And to show you how much fun, here is a WH video that another player posted recently.

I agree with you for the most part, especially when you say that a solo kill is "pure high". However, WH is not the hardest class to play right now. It's WE. WE doesn't have things like BaL or Repel Blasphemy, and have to deal with solo WL a lot.drmordread wrote:WH ... hardest ... and most fun class to play.

I have a WE too, and WE's have their own awesome attacks. Do not need BaL. Stop looking at what the WH has and look to maximize what you have on the WE. Like a +15 to crit that WH's dop not have. Like Witchbrew ... and more. These make the WE an easy class, for me at the least, an easy play session.ToXoS wrote:I agree with you for the most part, especially when you say that a solo kill is "pure high".
