That sounds like an oversight.

itz this simple..
If you don't have this formula from Azarael or Londo then it could be wrong. Some formulas from the client are different from what has to be guessed due to the mythic "vow of silence" during 5 years of WAR.

I also tested these kind of stuff in game so no problem

Found this old post from bavk on live about toughness vs wounds. But it covers all the stats, armor, parry. WS, resist, block etc. Including formulas for calculating etc.

While the formula you are using does give near enough the correct numbers, there is still a small margin of error compared to the formula as it was revealed to us back in T1 by Londo.
Londo wrote:Armor
Armor reduces physical damage (melee and ranged non-magical) by a percentage. There is no cap total mitigation %. Formula to calculate reduction:
dps_reduced% = (armor * 0.909) / level

Example:
256 armor at level 20 will reduce how much damage?

256 * 0.909 / 20 = 11.6%

Client confirms

So if I'm right understanding , armor mitigating a % of the attack ? (Armor*0.909/level) and toughness mitigating always the same numbers ? (20% of your toughness stats) ?

Exemple : i got4400 armor and I am hit by an attack which supppsed to hit me at 500 . The attacker got 35% armor penetration . So 4400 -35% = 2860 armor would mitigating his attack .

(2860 * 0.909) / 40 = 65%

From the 500 dps attack :

500 - 65% = 175

If I'm correct I'll be hit only by 175 dmg ?

While toughness mitigating the same number ?
Exemple i got 550 toughness so

20% of 550 = 110

So I'll always mitigating 110 on every single attack?

If I remember right toughness always mitigating first so it is :

(attackdps - toughness mitigating) - armor reducedps% = real dmg

Back from the 500hit attack :
500 - 110 = 390 - 65% = 136 dmg

This is correct ?

Not exactly but it might do for a rough estimate. For a better understanding maybe take a look at Bruglir's combat mechanics analysis. I tested the forumlas to some extend and they seem to apply with some trivial modifications. For a basic understanding on how thoughness etc work it's still good.
