Same stats talismans on a 2H weapon?

The weapon would simply become overcharged with a single type of magic and become unstable. We couldn't have weapons exploding in our faces.

This has never made any sense to me other than lotd vessel weapons.
It gives classes that can choose between dual wield and 2h just another reason not to spec for 2h.

In all seriousness, since you can drop two of the same types of talismans into two different single handed weapons, is there any reasoning as to not allow it into a 2h? Is there something mythic was trying to prevent? Is there any viable 2h choppa/slayer build currently that'd be OP if given an additional 24 strength/weapon skill?

Because. That's how it is in the client. Server needs to match, or weirdness happens. Probably.
