Levelling magical salvaging

Hi there,

I am trying to level Magical Salvaging on my toon, but i have experienced a huge reduction in the skill up rate lately.
I am 155 and I am salvaging proper items (lev 33+). Also I am not crit failing all the time so I should get more points than I am getting at the moment (4-5 points out of 40 salvaged items).

Any hint? Any known bug?

I haven't leveled salvaging in a while. What's your success rate? Are they green items? Have you tried with level 35 instead?

they are all green items with 80% success rate. I tried also some precursor (lev 39, 48% chance) and still low skill up rate. Should they have a yellow success rate (like 60-75%)?

Only salvage orange / yellow. Depends more or less what you get easier or cheaper, green has a really bad lvl up value.
You are going to have more fails, so only take common(green) items until you hit skill lvl 200. Than you can salvage the valuable items for talis.

Thank you, I will focus on those items. Maybe precursor items are too high and lev 33 too low.

That's what it sounds like. See if you can find some level 35ish items. Maybe check the AH for cheap greens. You're in a weird limbo area where lvl 33s are too low but lvl39 is too high. Once you get precursor into the orange/yellow range it should go by really fast.

I lvld my salva from 155 do 200 with lvl 39 precursor gear. I farm them with my aoe engi/mara while butchering.

I just did a farm run and collected 40ish lev 37-39 green items. atm of salvage the salvaging chance was around 65-70%. I got 10 points (from 168 to 178), which means the skill up chance is around 25%. I think it's too low for using proper level item, don't you?

I leveld in 2 hours buying medaillons stuff (gloves usually) I can remind I had 1k3 scout & 400 Officer.
